GAA success – Roinn B county football champions 2022

On Saturday November 26th the Roinn B football county final took place in Dunmore training centre V Lisdowney NS. The boys from the two Kilmacow schools put on a great performance and came away with a one goal victory after a very tight finish. The final score was 2-7 to 1-7. A huge well done to all of the team and especially the 10 boys from our school, led by Ms. Quinn. This was a super achievement as it was our first football county final win in 17 years!

Soccer Teams

Each February/March the boys and girls of the senior classes are delighted to take part in the FAI 5s soccer competition in the SETU arena. We enter two teams of each where possible. This is always a very enjoyable day out. We ended the 2024/2025 school year on a high with our boys and girls soccer teams reaching the finals in the ‘Jack Kennedy/Willie Moran’ soccer tournament in Waterford city. The boys and their trainer Ms. Quinlan were thrilled to come out winners in the boys final and the girls and their trainer Ms. Murphy were very unfortunate that their game went to penalties, which didn’t go their way after finishing on equal points with Ballyduff NS. 

School Quiz Team

Each year we take part in the Credit Union quiz. This takes place in January when we enter four teams, into the U13 competition and into the U11 competition. 

A lot of work and effort goes into preparing for the quiz and well done to the boys and girls for all of their hard work and research each year.
