GAA success – Roinn B county football champions 2022

On Saturday November 26th the Roinn B football county final took place in Dunmore training centre V Lisdowney NS. The boys from the two Kilmacow schools put on a great performance and came away with a one goal victory after a very tight finish. The final score was 2-7 to 1-7. A huge well done to all of the team and especially the 10 boys from our school, led by Ms. Quinn. This was a super achievement as it was our first football county final win in 17 years!

Soccer Teams

In February the boys and girls of the senior classes were delighted that the FAI 5s soccer competition had returned to the SETU arena. Two boys teams and one girls team entered on the day and were trained and accompanied by Ms. Quinlan and Ms. Hynes. THe boys A team were narrowly beaten by 2-1 against St. Paul’s and missed out on a place in the final.

School Quiz Team

This year we were delighted to have a return of the Credit Union quiz. In January we entered four teams, three into the U13 competition and one team into the U11 competition. One of the U13 teams came 3rd on the night and all teams really enjoyed taking part.

A lot of work and effort went into preparing for the quiz and well done to the boys and girls for all of their hard work and research.
